Case Study 1 - Jig Cleaning

One of our customers was outsourcing their jig cleaning to a company that was performing a caustic dip operation located 3.5 hours away.

Drawbacks of the caustic dip process:

  1. Not environmentally friendly
  2. High cost of transportation
  3. Cost of extra jigs required
  4. Risk of contaminates from outside the facility
  5. Long lead-time

MacLellan Suggested an innovative cleaning method that eliminated transportation costs and the risk of outside contaminants while lowering the operating cost and turn around time.

This suggestion resulted in a 100% reduction in paint chip defects from jigs at the facility.

Case Study 2 - Maintenance

Our customer was replacing broken Endo Motors throughout the facility.

One of our maintenance team members noticed the discarded motors and suggested that he may be able to repair them.

By repairing the motors rather than replacing the motors,
MacLellan was able to save our customer $131,000.00 annually.
